Here’s how we get the most from this period in front of us, this grind. We embrace it. We treat it like an athlete treats training camp. Like a musician dives into the practice room.
We know it will largely be unseen. We know there will be many times we will want to give up. We accept a certain tedium to it. Because no one wants to listen to us play scales. No one wants to watch us lift weights or run those same drills again and again.
But we know something else. We know that no one plays Beethoven without practicing scales first. No one gets to play in the big game unless they put in the work at the gym and on the practice field.
So we embrace The Grind for the joy that is to come. And for the joy of being the kind of people who are willing to put in the time for something they want deeply, even when it’s hard.
