If you feel like 2020 has exposed some cracks in not only our society, but in your life, you’re not alone. We had become so accustomed to pretending and posing, trying to appear like we had it all together. For all of its turmoil, 2020 has made us look in the mirror. What seemed to be working wasn’t really working.

And now we’re in The Grind. Here’s our chance to do something more useful than to look away.

You know this, so you’ve probably already started on this process. Maybe you’ve already taken a long, caring look in the mirror and asked yourself, “Self, how can you become more of who you were created to be? What character trait can you cultivate that will pay dividends for years to come?”

We can pick a trait shown by a role model or the opposite of one shown us by a nemesis. Wherever you find it, be sure to pick a character trait that will help your life really work for the long haul. That’s what we’re looking for here.

That’s how we use The Grind to the advantage of ourselves and those around us. We face reality. We choose a quality to build. We embrace the hard work of grinding.

That’s how The Grind makes us great.

Be bright
